A tour around the Peak District National Park

Had a great time today, touring the Peak District National Park with Colin Mill. Visited Mam Tor to start with, for sunrise. Was an early start, getting up and 4am and zooming up the M1, but was worth it. The mile or so walk from the car was muddy and very windy, nearly lost me hat on several occasions!

Anyway, the top of Mam Tor didnt disappoint!

After this, we got back to the car, freezing cold. Threw lashings of hot tea down our necks and headed for lunch at a local american diner. Obviously, the large brunch burger was called for.

After that, we headed for Hathersage for a pint at the Millstone Inn. There's a nice little waterfall nearby, with a view along the valley too

Finally, after watching Colin fall asleep in the pub (bless him, all tuckered out after a pint and a meal) we headed onto Curbar Edge for some sunset action
