Went on a tour of the Peak district today with some friends, Colin, Darren and Paula. We started off on a very murky and cold Stanage Edge. A dusting of snow here and there kept us all chilly. The murk didn't clear, but at times added quite a dark and moody feel to the awesome landscapes in this area.
I started it off with a panorama of the whole vista
On the way back, Colin spotted a lone tree, with the sun just breaking through behind it made for a pleasing image
Feeling colder by the minute and with the lure of a cooked breakfast, off we trotted to the Grindleford Station Cafe for a slap up grill for four. Following that, we made a trip to Surprise View (pictured left), onto Ladybower reservoir and a trip up Snake Pass
