Grand Union Canal Walk

March 23, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

A lovely clear day and a 2km walk from the Three Locks near Stoke Hammond along to the Globe Inn and back again. I was pleased with what I found, some really nice scenes.

There were sweeping turns in the canal, old stone bridges and several well placed barges. I used a 100mm f2.8 macro exclusively on this journey in an effort to get to know it better. The larger panoramic shots are stitched together from several images if you're interested!

A nice walk was interrupted by the appearance of the Globe Inn, which looked sad and lonely. I felt for it, and popped in for a pint of beer.

Here are a couple of images from the walk. Others photos from the day can be seen in this gallery
